| Shirin NYC From the blank canvas of the "classic white tee", designer Shirin Roubeni introduces a limited-edition collection of items that transforms common to couture. Hand-dyed, hand-stitched, and hand-silk-screened, no two pieces are ever identical.
An artist from as early as she can remember, Shirin was born in Iran, grew up in Germany and moved to the U.S. at age fourteen to pursue her talents. She went on to study at the Parsons School of Design in 1990, where she specialized in illustration and later, at the Royal College of Art in London, explored the world of printed textiles. Along with creating clothing, Shirin's love has been painting murals. Painting has inspired Shirin to translate art onto fabric, while transforming fabric into art.
