Kalon StudiosMichaele Simmering is an American who received her BA from Brown University and her MFA at CalArts. Johannes Pauwen is German and received his BFA from RISD and his Masters in Product Design from the Fachhochschule Potsdam. Johann & Michaele are a husband/wife team working out of Los Angeles and Berlin. The project they are most proud of is their daughter Io Zara Pauwen for whom they designed and named their children's collection IoLine.
